Your
stay in the Kruger Nationalpark:
Accommodation:
Accommodation in tranquil grass roof bungalows
at one of the 12 camps inside Kruger Park. We use the southern section of Kruger Park as the game
viewing is exceptional due to the abundant variety of trees and vegetation
available to the animals. This is also the part of the park which receives
the most rainfall per annum, around 700 mm.
The camps we frequent are Lower Sabi,
Skukuza, Berg en Dal, Satara, and Pretoriuskop. However, our camps change
due the availability of accommodation and wildlife movements.
Rooms are clean with two or three single
beds and clean linen, towels and soap are provided. The bungalows have
electricity 220 volts, plug points, air-conditioner, an en suite basin,
shower and toilet. A bath is available at the communal facilities should
you require this.
The camps have a shop, restaurant, cafeteria,
night wildlife films, garage and are electric fenced with game viewing
benches on the borders for you to have a quiet moment with the wild
animals.
Enjoy the grass roof African feel of your
bungalow !

adventures (included in 5 days and longer safaris!):
Trip to the Drakensberg Mountains:
Half a day on route home is reserved for
a tour of the popular scenic 'Panorama Route' of the Blyde River
Canyon area in the Drakensberg mountains, stopping at all the major
view spots such as: God's Window, Lisbon Falls, Bourke's Luck Potholes,
The Three Rondavels and the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim's Rest.
Activities
such as Quad-Biking, Horse Riding, Hiking, Hot Air Ballooning
and White Water Rafting can be arranged for the super active visitor.
The Blyde River Nature Reserve on
the edge of the Drakensberg mountains is perhaps the most spectacular of
all the scenic wonders of Africa. The views are breathtaking and they are
full of extraordinary natural wonders such as God's Window, a deep
gash in the mountain wall which presents an awe inspiring view of the Escarpment
above and the valley floor 1000 metres below. Close to God's Window, the
46 metre high Berlin Falls where the Sandspruit River cascades down
a rocky cliff like a graceful, willowy curtain into a still pool of emerald
green.
You will see natural wonders like the unique
Bourke's Luck Potholes, huge cylindrical holes and channels carved
into the dolomite rock face, where the Blyde and Treur rivers meet. These
rivers were named by the country's early forefathers and the area along
the Blyde River Canyon (third largest in the world) is steeped in South
African history. This odd formation, visible from the walkways over the
gorge, is thought to have been fashioned over thousands of years by whirlpools
created at the confluence of the two rivers where sand and pebbles whittled
away at the rock.
The spectacular Blyde River Canyon
towers above the canyon floor in sheer vertical cliffs of orange ochre,
soaring to 700 meters above the river. Beneath the cliffs the mountains
appear to be swathed in bolts of luscious green cloth cascading into the
dark blue waters of the gorge below.
Enjoy seeing a different world and complete
contrast to the safari landscape !
THERE IS SUPERB SHOPPING ALONG THE WAY.
Night Drives - take part in the nocturnal
activities of Kruger's secretive creatures. They are included in the 5 days and longer safari tours!
Other activities
such as Quad Biking,
Horse Riding, Hiking, Hot Air Ballooning, Cultural village tours (tribal
dancing), cheetah breeding station and White Water Rafting can be easily
be added to your safari. Please enquire for more infos when booking.
