Your luxurious Kruger-National-Park-Safari:

Day 1:

After your arrival at Johannesburg or Pretoria Airport we will meet you there to welcome you.

Jan-Smuts-Airport, Johannesburg

If you are already accommodated in a hotel there collection will be at approximately 6:45 am.

PretoriaWe travel to the outskirts of Pretoria, the seat of Government, before passing eastwards through the highlands with its many corn, cattle and sheep farms towards Kruger Park.
 
 

The famous Cullinan Diamond MineWe also pass through the area where the worlds largest diamond, the world famous Cullinan Diamond (3106 carats), was found. Once we travelling through the coal mining town of Witbank, we will shortly arrive for our welcome coffee break. Your guide will point out along the way a well known tulip farm before you arrive at the hilly escarpment and trout fishing area of Belfast

NelspruitThe journey begins to become more and more scenic as you arrive in the low lying Nelspruit area with hills and valleys and where a third of the country's citrus grows. Enjoy a stop at an African craft shop before departing for the final leg to the Kruger National Park

Arrival at Kruger Park will be at lunch time. We´ll change vehicles to your open 4x4 safari vehicle, enjoy lunch, check into your accommodation and relaxation before we leave on our afternoon exciting game drive until sunset. Time for a hot shower and relax before enjoying a superb dinner at the camp restaurant.

Day 2:

Open DriveYou´ll spend the whole day in Kruger National Park.
Sunrise wake up with tea, coffee and biscuits. Get your cameras ready for exciting morning game viewing. In the comfort of your open vehicle, offering you tremendous and unobstructed views, we set off in search of the Big Five visiting waterholes, rocky outcrops, river roads and open savannah. Enjoy the thrill of seeing elephant, giraffe, hippos, rhino, cheetahs, lions and many other species in their natural environment. 

            

The SwimmingpoolAfter an app. three hours stop for a mouth watering buffet breakfast/brunch we´ll continue back to the camp on another open game drive. Time to relax during the heat of the day! You can swim, take a sun bath, read a few chapters of your gripping book, view the game from the camp balcony, do a bit of shopping, have a bit of lunch or simply sleep in your air conditioned bungalow . 

Game DriveThe afternoon game drive departs 3 hours before sunset. You´ll enjoy the thrill of seeing lions on the road, a fish eagle grooming itself in a large fig tree, watch a dung beetle push his ball across the road avoiding all the obstacles, take a photograph of the impala lily, a beautiful flower. Enjoy a massive herd of buffalo crossing or an elephant bull blocking the road and never mind the elusive leopard that is often up in a tree this time of day. There is so much for everyone to enjoy. 

Return to camp for a hot shower before a delicious BBQ style dinner under the stars and beside log fire prepared by your personal guide. 

Day 3:

If you only booked a 3 days safari you´ll go for some last game views and return to Johannesburg.

BaboonSunrise wake up with tea, coffee and biscuits. Get your cameras ready for exciting morning game viewing.  Wait for the monkeys and baboons on the road before we head for a new game viewing area. We have the advantage of our open vehicles being radio interlinked to other similar vehicles so we do not miss that special sighting. Enjoy a slow drive past a rocky out crop, enjoy a giraffe in the morning light reaching for the top leaves of an acacia tree.

ZebrasThe dazzling effect of the zebra's hide is quite noticeable as we pass through a herd. Watch a leopard flicking its tail through the long grass then giving us a clear view before departing back to its solitary world. Time to stop for a delicious buffet style breakfast. 
 

Leopard in treePack our bags, leave camp for our final game drive in search of those animals we may have not seen. 
 
 
 

Time to leave the magnificent Kruger Park. We change vehicles before heading back to Johannesburg or Pretoria. On route we stop for a refreshment break and lunch. Arrive Johannesburg at approximately 6 pm.

Day 4 and 5:

If you booked a 4 or even 5 days safari these days will be spent similar the above described Day 2!
But you get the following bonusses FOR FREE:

Drakensberg MountainsDrakensberg Mountains:
On route back to Johannesburg we visit the spectacular Drakensberg mountain range. A  scenic route of waterfalls, breathtaking views including God's Window, forests, the confluence of two rivers where pebbles have carved potholes out of the rock and the third largest canyon on earth.

We stop at a sweet and savoury pancake house for lunch( not included in price) with a superb African craft shop, before visiting an historic gold mining town.

We´ll be in Johannesburg or Pretoria at approximately 6 pm. 

IMPORTANT!

The Kruger National Park belongs to a Malaria belt and anti Malaria medication (besides other vaccinations) needs to be taken 1 week prior to the commencement of the safari.
